Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia

The Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia (MIABC) is a non-profit organization formerly known as the Association of Marine Underwriters of British Columbia.

The purpose of the Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia is to promote education, harmony, fellowship, and good practice in the profession, the interchange of views, opinion and personal experience, the discussion of topics of interest to the profession and the consideration of such subjects as may be brought before the Association.

We are one of two Marine Insurance Associations in Canada, working together on a nation-wide basis. The other Association is the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters, based in Toronto, Ontario CBMU.com
